About Me
I am a certified birth doula CD(DONA) committed to supporting and nurturing women and their families through their birth experience. My goal as a doula is to help each woman develop her own confidence and ability to give birth the way she wants to.
I have an immense respect for the amazing ability of a woman’s body to birth her baby. I feel that the more you know and understand about the birth process, the less fearful you will be. I have learned that knowledge is power, especially when it comes to birth.
By educating clients about childbirth and all of the different options available to a labouring mom, I work to guide them safely through their own unique childbirth experience — respecting the decisions they make. I am non judgemental and I don’t preach any “right” or “wrong” things. I just give my clients information and they take it from there.
I am trained and experienced in providing breastfeeding support and am passionate about sharing my knowledge of breastfeeding management with my clients. If you have personal breastfeeding goal we can work together to help you succeed. I will also provide lists of referrals to breastfeeding support services if I am unable to meet the needs of my clients or they experience difficulties that are beyond my scope of practice.
